Today may have been one of the most poignant days of leadership programming for Class VIII.  As we walked the battleground and memorial at Meuse-Argonne, we were reminded once again of the sacrifice so many gave to stop the German advance during WWI.  More than 1.2 million US troops fought during the 47 days of the Meuse-Argonne Offensive.  About 117,000 were killed or wounded.  The memorial is the largest American cemetery in Europe and is overseen by the American Battle Monuments Commission.  God Bless America and those who gave so much during this difficult time in our history.
