Day 1 of programming: Limagrain & Vinas Queirolo
Having a wonderful Wedgworth evening at Vinas Queriolos Winery outside of Ica, Peru!
Citrus on a hill...
I don't think Peru is what anyone expected. The views out our bus windows keep changing--mountains on one side, the Pacific Ocean on the other and this steep hill of citrus trees at one point. We've had a full day--a four hour ride south to Ica and a visit with the HM.CLAUSE seed farm, then dinner at a gorgeous winery (which also doubles as our lodging for the night)--I think it's safe to say that we are appreciative of what we've seen and look forward to learning more about this humble country we are visiting.
The official Wedgworth flag!!
There is much talk about which is the "best" class of this program--each are unique and great in their own way--Class IX is unique in that they are traveling with the official WLI flag!!
We made it!!
Pictures and more words tomorrow but we are in Lima and have a "short sleep" before heading south tomorrow morning. Happy to be getting this trip underway!!
